WHAT WE BELIEVE:
STATEMENT OF FAITH
GOD
We believe in the one true God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and that He is supreme in creation, Providence and Redemption.
BIBLE
We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God and that they are our final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
CHRIST
We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God; in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His crucifixion, In His death and burial, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the place of power and authority given by the Father, in His personal and visible return in power and glory, and in His final judgement of all mankind.
MAN
We believe that all mankind is perishing because of sin and that those who reject Christ (as Saviour and Lord) deny themselves the joy of salvation and condemn themselves to eternal separation from God.
HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the personhood and power of the Holy Spirit, and that conviction of sin, repentance, faith in Christ, regeneration and the desire and ability to live a godly life, are all His work.
SALVATION
We believe that all men may be invited to respond to Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord in the wholehearted personal commitment of repentance and faith, and that the forgiveness of sins, the gift of eternal life and the resurrection of the body are the blessings of Christ to be enjoyed by all who so repent and believe the Gospel.
CHURCH
We believe that the church is at the very centre of God’s cosmic purpose and that it is composed of all who are regenerated through the work of the Holy Spirit, faith in Christ and love for other believers being the visible marks of such work.
